Well, I’m going to try to get back into one post a day, but in general I think I’d prefer to do fewer bigger posts, rather than more smaller posts.
These are just a couple of the Homura sketches I did before last week’s painting. One of the things I considered – and this has actually only been a recent consideration as far as paintings go – was how much to stylize. I think Ume Aoki’s (of Hidamari Sketch fame) art is fairly appropriate for the show, but it’s just not very me. Ultimately, the painting might have been a little too “me”, but what’s done is done.
